Paula, January ‘23 Retreat
Sandy, is the owner of Dartmoor Larder and is our retreat chef. She is an expert in creating delicious, seasonal dishes using the best of local produce. Each menu is nutritious, flavoursome, satisfying and prepared with love. That includes vegetables and fruit from our own gardens, bread from our local bakeries and preserves made at home.
Sandy can cater for any nutritional requirement or restriction at all. Don’t like aubergines? Need to eat dairy-free? No problem! We promise there will be food that you will enjoy.
This is Sandy. She and I have known one another for around eight years, and have been working together since 2019.
Together we created these retreats to be the beautiful, easy, safe spaces that they are.
Sandy prepares and cooks our meals at the retreats with love. She really enjoys talking about the ingredients she’s using, so you can get involved if you want to. There’s always a little surprise as well - I love it when Sandy turns up with an amazing cake or something new to taste!
You’ll discover that Sandy is not only a fabulous chef, she’s also one of the kindest and most generous people I know.
